Virunga National Park is popularly known for the shy endangered Mountain Gorillas although it provides habitat to different other Wildlife species which include Wild animals like Elephants, Buffaloes, Okapi and more, Primates like Chimpanzees, Colobus monkeys, Red tailed monkeys, Baboons, Vervet, Mangabey and more, reptiles like snakes, geckos, chameleon and more plus different bird species which are recorded sightable.

Kahuzi Biega National Park is another secret to go while in the Democratic Republic of Congo, it’s also located in the Eastern part of the Democratic Republic of Congo near Bukavu town also situated near the Western bank of the Lake Kivu and Rwanda border.

This Park is characterised by thick tropical rainforests, Montane forests, Savannah grasslands and Woodlands, Shrubs, different tree species, bogs, marshes, bamboo forested areas and swampy areas which provide habitat to different Wildlife species recorded on the Democratic Republic of Congo’s list.

Kahuzi Biega National Park is popularly known for the Eastern Lowland Gorillas although it provides habitat to other Wildlife species including Wild animals, primates like Colobus monkeys, Red tailed monkeys, baboons, Vervet, Mangabey, wild chimpanzees, black and white Colobus and more, reptiles include Snakes, geckos, chameleons and more.
